Dystopian Departures

What does it mean to be a monster?

A broken heart retains nothing but its shell.
A pessimist’s conclusion,
A game of kiss-and-tell.

A undeveloped mind yields no apparent thought.
A blissful disillusion,
Another battle never fought.

A desire with no yield is simply a mistake,
A situation poorly handled,
A tendency to take.

An apprehensive boy is nothing but irate.
A response to his injustice,
A refutation of his fate.

A man in search of home has not a single answer.
An obtuse and mindless task,
A pursuit to cure his cancer.

A monster is a being that you love to scorn and shove.
A small, assuring lurch,
A cry for help and love.
