[Guest Poem] Dream of Osaka

All I see, is you
in a city I’ve never been
but everything looks so vivid
In a world so far apart

The discourse never there
language, you and I could never share
it did not stop a lovers touch
and I cannot stop dreaming of Osaka

Friend, at first, something never broken
Spending time with you is all I asked
friendship not to last
Signs were shown
And I cannot stop dreaming of Osaka

With the glistening city lights
I could see oh so vividly
and imagine what Osaka could have been
All my dreams complete
but I cannot stop dreaming of Osaka

Here came the time to seek the truth
The four months, were they just a ruse?
A friendship now broken and bruised
with so much potential
But with what’s left
I cannot dream of Osaka

Intentions not aligned
friends no more you and I
Dreams of Osaka fading
I still can’t help to see you once more
but Osaka can stop dreaming of me
